Tools sharpening

This is my first blog about guitar making and wood working. I have learned to make guitar in Japan. The first guitar I made in Japan is almost finished. I brought it back to Hong Kong and I am going to do all the retouch and French polishing.  During my work, I found that I need to tidy up my tiny workshop a bit. Also I realised that my tools are not properly sharpened.  Therefore I bought a sharpener from eBay.

I have tried it on an old planer blade, the result is very good. In the photo, the blade was just sharpened for several minutes(still not finish yet), it looked pretty good already. The beauty of this sharpener is that you don't need to use the honing guide, there are several angle for you to choose from.

I have been using so much time to sharp my tools by using honing guide and sharpening stones. But now I can spend the saved time to focus on my woodworking.
